It not only goes up and down to use correctly over the bed, but also great to drive or set wheel chair up to using the C-Base. Only change I would make would make the cup holder deeper. Arrived with cardboard packing torn and foam packing broken in pieces. Assembly instructions sparse and somewhat confusing. Tray elevates smoothly but requires sticking a finger into the mechanism and fiddling it to lock in place. Failure to do this can result in sudden collapse if something heavy is placed on tray. This is nice but a little wobbly. I love the height and the space of the table. Would recommend this item. The only problem is when you go untighten the last screw it’s hard other than that I It server it’s purpose. Very sturdy, easy Assembly. Good product, easy to assemble, solid and does what it was designed to do. It is good for my non-hospital type purpose. I made the mistake of not carefully considering the best orientation and had to reassemble. Fortunately it is designed for optional base arrangement.
